FISH stands for Friends in Service Here. FISH is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization, incorporated in the state of Connecticut, dedicated to helping Sherman residents in need of local area transportation. We are a group of about 55 Sherman neighbors who wish to express our caring and concern by helping Sherman residents to get to their needed appointments. We have been doing this since 1971 by providing certain non-professional services such as:
• Free transportation to medical, dental, legal, and related essential appointments
• Prescription delivery
• Loan of home health care equipment, e.g., walkers, wheelchairs, etc.
We accept no payment for services from our clients, but contributions are always welcome.
