Join the Sherman Library for “Container Gardens: Tips, Tricks & Trends”, a presentation by Advanced Master Gardener Michele MacKinnon on Saturday, April 25th at 11:00 a.m.

Containers are a fast, affordable, flexible solution for growing flowers, vegetables and herbs. Discover new container materials, design “recipes” for multi-season interest, tips on how many plants will fit, and how to keep designs looking gorgeous year-round.

Michele MacKinnon is a UCONN Advanced Master Gardener and a CT Chapter NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professional. Michele combined her former corporate training background with her love of gardening to create a business—Garden Advice—and she offers garden coaching to area clients as well as public speaking for garden clubs and community organizations. Michele also volunteers on her town’s Conservation Commission in Sherman, CT. She incorporates regenerative soil methods with pollinator- and wildlife-friendly practices into all her work.
