FALL TREE ID (class & walk) Oct 3, 10AM-Noon Enjoy the fall foliage even more by attending the Deer Pond Farm Fall Tree ID program. CT Audubon Naturalist Diane Nizlek and Deer Pond Farm Director Cathy Hagadorn will review several species of trees, how and why deciduous tree leaves change colors in Autumn. The focus will be on oaks, maples, hickories, and more! The program begins in the classroom, followed by an hour-long, 1-mile walk around our main campus. Along the way, we’ll put tree ID skills to work in the field and take in the changing colors of the fall landscape. https://ctaudubon.org/events/deer-pond-farm/fall-tree-id-class-walk/
