Pileated woodpeckers are some of the only birds capable of creating large cavities for nesting, roosting, and shelter in bad weather. Many songbirds birds use old Pileated cavities for their nest sites. Join us at Deer Pond Farm for a program on Pileated Woodpeckers and other forest birds that share the same habitat. Lori Lichtenauer Sanctuary Manager / Naturalist will start the program will start in our classroom and end outside on our main campus trails. All birding levels welcome. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
