SHS Barn Sale Donation Days Ahead!
Here’s the perfect reason to spring clean: The Sherman Historical Society’s annual fundraising Barn Sale! We will take donations Saturdays: April 25, May 2 and May 9, 9-12 at our barn at 10 Route 37 Center in Sherman.
The Barn Sale itself will be held on Saturday and Sunday May 23 and 24.
WE ACCEPT (at the discretion of the Society): antiques, collectibles, furniture, china, linens, kitchen & household items, décor, holiday, jewelry, tools, art, outdoor equipment, gardening items, children's toys & games, small rugs (6’x9’ and smaller) and more. All items must be of good condition and in working order. WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING clothing, computers, baby items (cribs, car seats, etc.), electronics, entertainment centers, heavy exercise equipment or upholstered furniture, VHS or cassette tapes, or rugs larger than 6’x9’.
DO NOT DROP OFF any items at unscheduled days or times, however you may contact the SHS office at 860-354-3083 or office@shermanhistoricalsociety.org to arrange a special date for drop-off or pickup of large items (there is a small, tax-deductible fee for the latter).
The Sherman Historical Society is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that’s relied on this annual fundraiser to finance the Society’s operating/programming costs. We have a number of wonderful events planned this year to celebrate America’s 250h, with the highlight being an in-depth exhibit on Founding Father Roger Sherman in June/July—not to be missed!
We hope you’ll consider donating during the dates above and cashing in on the fantastic buys at the sale itself! We thank you as always for your support!
