The Annual Winter Gala at the Sherman Library

Crystal Luxe

Saturday, Dec. 5th 7:00-10:00 p.m.

Join us! Come in from the cold and celebrate the season at the Sherman Library’s Centennial Celebration Winter Gala and Fundraiser, Crystal Luxe, on December 5th from 7-10pm. Enjoy cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres, browse an exciting silent auction, and sway to live music. Gather with friends old and new for a sparkling evening of festive cheer as we celebrate 100 years of the Sherman Library!

A centennial milestone deserves an unforgettable silent auction. We have assembled a premier lineup of items, blending beloved fan-favorites with new vintage and estate offerings. Here is a glimpse of what awaits:

Travel: Follow the vines through Southern France  where celebrated wines, local flavors, and French elegance come together. Four nights in Saint-Émilion in a private residence on a working vineyard estate and 3 nights in Toulouse, both with tours and tastings. A 3-night Grand Ole Opry getaway with tour, show, and sumptuous steakhouse dinner. Back by popular demand, and highly rated by a previous auction winner, an African photo safari at Zulu Nyala Lodge. Locally, a choice of  overnight getaways with gift cards in Kent and at Foxwoods.

One-of-a-kind Estate, Vintage & Curated Home Goods: Rare estate treasures including Baltic amber, garnets, Native American handcraft, a Savile Row cashmere shawl. Premium home packages featuring Baccarat, Limoges, Val St Lambert, Schott-Zwiesel and art from Russia, British Columbia and CT.

NYC Highlights: Exclusive experiences including a behind-the-scenes American Museum of Natural History tour, field-level Mets seats, a Broadway show and dinner at Café Lux, or tickets to The Great Gatsby. Bid on star-studded entry to the National Book Awards Gala or studio audience seats for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

Local Highlights: Unique outings include a Candlewood Lake sunset cruise or scenic flight, a private watercolor class, a golf foursome, and lunch with a Fortune 500 CEO. Indulge in dining packages, wellness treats like massage and Pilates, a home organizing consultation, and curated food and beverage experiences like Bourbon & Barbecue and "Hoppy Hour."

Bid on these and many more fabulous items featured in our silent auction at the Annual Winter Gala. View a selection of our silent auction offerings in advance at www.shermanlibrary.org/gala2026.
